Happy Valentine’s Day to you too, Casey!
I finished Mr. Selfridge, season 1. Loved it! Watched first episode of The Paradise. Enjoyed it, but exactly as you said — I couldn’t help comparing it to Mr. Selfridge. Piven is so intense, it makes that show so compelling. And, so far, I still love Agnes Towler more than Denise. But it was great and lots can change over the course of a season!
Happy Valentine’s Day Jill!
I have another series for you to try – London Hospital! It takes place in the early 1900s and dramatizes life before national medicine. If you are an Amazon Prime Member, the episodes are free.
The Paradise has a second season so I hope PBS decides to air it.
That sounds great — thanks! I finally joined Prime this year.
